WHO WE ARE
Chapter Mission
The BranchOut! Los Angeles City Chapter partners with the TECC Learning Center in Los Angeles, aiming to provide mentorship and inspire greater STEAM engagement within underserved communities.
Current Program: TECC Learning Center
The Los Angeles Chapter, with meticulous preparation from students in the Arcadia area, successfully held its inaugural event at the TECC Learning Center. The program features a variety of engaging hands-on activities and games, all designed to spark curiosity and inspire young innovators in the field of STEM. The event aims to bring together mentors, students, and leaders to reflect on their experiences, share insights, and enjoy a fun, relaxed atmosphere.
The BranchOut! mentors organized a series of experiments and crafts designed to teach high school-level science concepts to children, with a focus on biology, chemistry, and physics. By incorporating creativity in our projects, we aim to foster problem-solving and patience in our students. Our first experiment introduced the chemistry behind lava lamps and acid-base reactions, while allowing students to create one for themselves. Future events will include other fun activities, such as making slime while learning about non-Newtonian fluids and polymers!
Internal BranchOut! Programs
BranchOut! members across all chapters are presented with the opportunity to participate in any of BranchOut's virtual programs.
