Cumulative Weighted GPA:

Briefly introduce yourself and explain why you are interested in becoming a mentor for BranchOut!:

I am very interested in returning to the Branchout! Mentoring Program this summer. I was fortunate to participate in Branchout! program in summer 2017, and I hope that my prior experience in this program will allow me to take a more active role in the program this summer. I am willing to dedicate my time and share my knowledge with disadvantaged students who do not have access to many educational resources.
I have qualifications to be a good mentor for the Branchout! program. I have good communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills, and have been an experienced instructor/tutor working with students of diverse background. I have been instructing for Introductory and Advanced Mathcounts at Chinese school for two years, managing the class by giving lectures and grading homework/tests. I also lectured to TJ Varsity Math Team on various occasions. As an 8th grader, I served as a teaching assistant in Shanghai Yongchang summer school and helped Chinese students improve their leadership, public speaking, and English writing skills.
I have solid knowledge in math, science, and English, and would be a good fit for tutoring in these subjects. I have completed Calculus BC, Linear Algebra, Multivariable Calculus, AP Physics C, and AP Computer Science at TJ, and have qualified for USAJMO in 9th and 10th grades.
