Briefly introduce yourself and explain why you are interested in becoming a mentor for BranchOut!:
I am a rising junior of the STEM magnet program at Montgomery Blair High School. When I weekly went to chess club and tutored aspiring chess players, I learned a lot about myself and was able to apply these lessons into my daily life when dealing with group members inside projects. I want to become a mentor to not only help other students succeed in their field but to also improve my ability to interact with other people in a nice, professional manner. Additionally, last year I participated in the Branchout/MCPS program to tutor students at JFK in the subject of math, geometry to be exact. I had a wonderful time helping students pass their summer courses and graduate high school and get their high school diplomas. It was a rewarding experience and I hope to be able to continue helping students.
