Describe your tutoring experience if you have any:
coached elementary schoolers and middle schoolers topics in math competitions like MATHCOUNTS. During these sessions, I prepared my own lectures and created my own problems to give to my tutees, taking into consideration things like the skill gap between the tutees, relevance to the competition, and order of topics to teach.
Additionally, during 6th grade, I went to a prison in Mexico to teach the people there English and American culture. As an extension, during 7th grade, I went to different elementary, middle, and high schools in China to do the same thing. Because there was no set thing that we had to teach them, it was up to us to choose what to teach them.
Furthermore, this year I gave lectures, sometimes with a partner, in my school's math team, which I am currently participating in. I had to choose a topic that suited the audience, find problems that would be the most useful to them, and help them if they needed it when working on the problems that I would give.
