Briefly introduce yourself and explain why you are interested in becoming a mentor for BranchOut!:
I am currently a junior at Oakton High School and participate on the Varsity Cross Country and Track and Field teams as well as the Relay For Life Club. These extracurriculars have taught me the importance of acting as a team and helping other people improve in what they can. That is why I want to be a mentor for BranchOut! again, because it is an extremely productive way to spend my summer helping others while also interacting with people I do not normally see on a day-to-day basis. This program not only allows me to share my knowledge and help foster a love for STEM in other children's hearts, but it is also extremely effective in exposing me to more people and helping me learn how to communicate in different ways. Overall, BranchOut! has and will continue to be a place for me to help others learn and help me be a better collaborator.
