Briefly introduce yourself and explain why you are interested in becoming a mentor for BranchOut!:
I know first hand how life-changing education, and having a mentor, can be to younger children. When I was in seventh grade, I joined Science Olympiad and met older students who acted as mentors to me. These students fostered my love for learning, mainly science and technology. My older brother first heard about Branch Out! from a friend and began volunteering when the summer before entering 9th grade. I wanted to join as well but had the opportunity to attend Ancient Civilization classes at TJ. Education has played an integral role in shaping who I am today, and now that I have the chance, I want to share my passion with others.
