Describe your tutoring experience if you have any:

At Thomas Jefferson, I am part of a club called GEMS. In GEMS, we tutor students from sixth grade to ninth, in all sorts of STEM subjects. For the lessons, we incorporate learning with a fun activity to keep the students' interest captivated. Also, I have had past experiences tutoring piano to my younger family friends, and also various different school subjects.

What subjects can you confidently tutor?

Biology, Algebra I, English/Language Arts, Spanish, Technology

When will you be able to participate and volunteer in the program?

7/1 - 7/5, 7/8 - 7/12, 7/15 - 7/19, 7/22 - 7/26

Cumulative Weighted GPA:

4.233-which is from middle school, because our high school courses are in a rolling gradebook.

Briefly introduce yourself and explain why you are interested in becoming a mentor for BranchOut!:

I am interested in becoming a tutor for this program because not everyone was born into a family like mine. Ever since I was little, I received lessons in many subjects, such as math, art, and various sports. I attend Thomas Jefferson High School for Science and Technology, which has given me so many opportunities to learn with very qualified teachers. Most people were not offered with such chances to expand their knowledge, so I would like to help with that. Furthermore, I have found through my tutoring club that teaching others helps me understand the content better as well. I think that participating in this program will benefit me and the tutees, because we can learn and understand concepts together.
