Briefly introduce yourself and explain why you are interested in becoming a mentor for BranchOut!:
My name is Erin Li, I am a freshman at River Hill High School. Apart from extracurricular clubs in school, I play volleyball, oboe, and sometimes dance in my freetime.
Although I am not a STEM genius, I come from a background of very strong STEM knowledge by learning and being helped from my family. Same as my family does to help me, I want to join Branch out program to help others strengthen in the their STEM field. I have always liked to help others whether it be in class or in extracurriculars, and I would like to extend that help to students willing to improve their own STEM skills. Apart from helping others, this program is also an excellent way to build my leadership skills to better help people in need. Training as a libero in volleyball, basically the captain of defense, I have built a good amount of leadership skills in a sport, and I would like to apply the skills I learned from that experience to my academics.
