Briefly introduce yourself and explain why you are interested in becoming a mentor for BranchOut!:
‘Possibility’ is quite a beautiful concept. Just as a sculptor uses his hands to guide the clay into whatever shape he desires, learning is what molds the fickle uncertainty of my future into something solid and real. STEM related subjects are my favorite to study, because they attempt to rationalize the workings of our universe and discover why things work the way they do, despite the fact that we will never know everything. The neverending nature of learning is the cause of every person’s lifetime of growth and self improvement. I would love the opportunity to help younger students discover their passion for learning and hone their abilities at BranchOut!. Tutoring allows me the chance to inspire the next generation of great thinkers and innovators who will change the future for the better. It was a handful of my own teachers who taught me the value of education, and, knowing how much this impacted me as a student, I would like to become that sort of mentor to someone else. By teaching, I can take solace in the fact that, just perhaps, something I teach a student may one day embolden them to push beyond their own constricts of possibility.
