Briefly introduce yourself and explain why you are interested in becoming a mentor for BranchOut!:
My name is Cameron Crew. I am a rising 9th grader at Frost Middle School in Fairfax County. I always strive to be the best I can be. I am a straight A student and love learning, both inside and outside the classroom. I would like to be a volunteer mentor/teacher at BranchOut! because I enjoy helping people, am very outgoing, like trying new things and meeting new people. I would be a very good volunteer at BranchOut! because I have participated in many after-school events and clubs, and understand the time and effort needed to get good results in helping others and myself succeed. In the Science Olympiad club, I helped to create study guides and resource materials for my groups and partners. In the MathCounts club, I helped my team understand harder problems. On the track and field team, my competitiveness has helped me do well in races, and my sportsmanship has helped me be gracious if I am not first. In many areas of life, I have cheered for people and given them the motivation to help themselves. For these reasons, I will be a very good contributor as a BranchOut! mentor/teacher.
